Course dates: June 3rd - 5th 2019 (Monday - Wednesday)
This is a chance to look deeper at natural forms. The course is about transforming the dramatic natural structures of trees, flowers, pods and seeds into amazing drawings and paintings. We will be working from our own wonderful resource of natural objects as well as borrowing fascinating natural structures from the Booth museum. Both large and small scale work will be created using different materials with a variety of approaches, responding to the natural forms themselves. Students can use motif and pattern to simplify the forms; using contrast of scale, materials and composition creatively to transform these incredible structures into singular images. There will be demonstrations and images of artists work for inspiration.
