Drawing the Head

Course Dates: 4th May 2018 (Friday)

Using charcoal as the primary medium, from both short and long poses, you will be encouraged to look differently and experiment with marks and materials, in order to explore the head as a form. Charcoal is so immediate and tactile, The studies that emerge will be very direct responses to observing the head, whether by taking a line for a walk or sculpting form out of charcoal dust. Almost as if you were able to touch the model’s head as you draw, but just with your eyes.
