The Landscape Inside
Paintings, Drawings, Etchings and Poetry
The work created this year on Gary’s course has explored memories, dreams, hopes, desire, fantasy and the active imagination. The course encourages students to break free from the tyranny of convention and instead have the confidence to use their own experiences and materials to create images. Gary Goodman will also be exhibiting his own work alongside that of his students.

Objects and Desire
Paintings
This show is going to be a celebration of the beauty of ordinary objects and the rich and colourful possibilities of the language of paint. There are three groups of artists exhibiting in this show. So it will be a feast of diversity and different viewpoints.
The theme of Still Life this year opened the door to exploring many important and consuming passions that artists find fuel their work; objects, spaces, light, composition, metaphor, relationships, colour and pattern. It has acted as a springboard for all the artists in this show to find and explore their passions within painting.

Liquid Line – Advanced drawing
There are two subject matters in this show but for both an experimental approach to the methods and materials that can be used to respond and draw them. The first is about exploring the landscape of ordinary objects: up, over, around, inside, under and through. The second is about the structures and forms of the body to create drawings that go beyond the traditional approach to life drawing. Last years show was a brilliant ‘eye opener’ for all visitors, giving them completely new thoughts about the process of drawing and how beautiful drawings can be. This is not work that is a preliminary to painting but pieces that stand on their own.
